Marawi LGU optimistic to be economically akin to other cities

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, June 24–The local government of Marawi City has just expressed its optimism to attain a flourishing economic flow comparable to its nearby cities following the recent inauguration of Lilod Guimba Bridge Wednesday, June 23.

“I believe that consistently, we are gearing up to that promise of positive changes within our society and we will certainly reach that we can be at par economically with our neighboring cities,” said City Mayor Majul Gandamra.

Highlighting the achieved development alongside the rehabilitation process, he further stated that the surfacing changes were believed to have brought the war-torn city to its betterment.

“We are finally seeing tangible changes within the city. These changes are designed to positively impact the lives of our constituents, and targeted to position our city as the progressive and prosperous city, Inshallah,” said Gandamra.

With the official opening of the Lilod Guimba bridge to the public, the city mayor recognized the realization of infrastructure projects as a symbol of ongoing development in the city considering that they network the locality to the neighboring places paving the way for a healthy economic movement within the city and the province of Lanao del Sur in general.

Meanwhile, Gandamra extended his sincerest gratitude to the services provided by different line agencies of the government especially the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for majorly implementing the construction of the bridge, the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) headed by Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario, and the provincial government of Lanao del Sur for supporting the city to have beneficial changes that they are receiving right now.
