Taraka turns over fire station, enhances disaster resilience

Municipal Mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan turned over the Taraka Fire Station to the Bureau of Fire Protection represented by BFP-BARMM 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗬 𝗖 𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗢, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, on June 22, 2021 at BFP-Taraka, Brgy. Pitakus, Taraka, Lanao del Sur.

According to a statement posted in its official facebook account, the Municipality of Taraka’s endeavor to become a disaster-resilient community begins to unfold as they finally open the Taraka Fire Station to serve their constituency.

It says. Regional Director, SSUPT. Jerry C. Lamanero, DSC of the BFP-BARMM along with other Bureau of Fire Protection Officials, Regional Chief Logistics, INSP. Hombra Masukat, INSP. Zulficar Caseres, SINSP. James L. Ra (Marawi City Fire Marshal), SUPT. Ibrahim P. Guiamalon (Provincial Director, Bfp Lanao del Sur) and other brave firefighters graced the Turn-Over Ceremony conducted for the Taraka Fire Station.

The guest speakers have expressed their willingness to support the locality in terms of further improving the services of the fire station and to build an even stronger partnership with the LGU to strengthen its resiliency, it added.

The speakers also were warmly welcomed by Mayor Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan whose efforts and hardwork with the equally persevering Vice Mayor Atty. Amenodin U. Sumagayan brought the vision into reality.

With the commencement of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Taraka FS operations headed by its Fire Marshal SFO1 Maria Estrellieta G. Lara, Mayor Sumagayan hopes that this will further strengthen the Emergency Rescue Team of the LGU which consist of our MDRRMO headed by Abdul Hasim C. Badron and the Taraka PNP Force.
