LANAO DEL NORTE, June 2–The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Health (DOH) through their provincial and regional offices gave commendation to the province of Lanao del Norte for noticeably backing the government’s effort of combatting the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19.
Department of Health (DOH)-10 Regional Director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr. extended his gratitude to the provincial government for the outpoured support in all health endeavors pushed by his department.
“Daghan kaayong salamat sa inyong pagsuporta sa tanang health activities, especially in our efforts to meet the COVID-19 challenge… Kini atong gihimo karon, dako kaayo ni og ikatabang sa atong efforts to combat sa COVID-19,” he said.
[Many thanks for your support in all health activities, especially in our efforts to meet the COVID-19 challenge… What we are doing now, contributes a lot in our efforts to combat the COVID-19]
DILG-Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Bruce Augusto Colao further recognized the province for its efficient utilization of programs implemented, particularly the Bayanihan Act 1, to beat the pandemic.
“We are very happy that Lanao del Norte, ang provincial government through the judicious use of the national government grant nga gitawag nato nga Bayanihan 1, nagstart ug nag-operate sa biomolecular laboratory nga dako kaayo og tabang para malessen ang waiting time sa usa ka individual o tao sa pagdetermine kung siya ba nagdala or wala nagdala sa virus after maconduct ang contact tracing,” he warmly conveyed.
[We are very happy that Lanao del Norte, the provincial government through the judicious use of the national government grant which we call the Bayanihan 1, started and operated the biomolecular laboratory which is a very big help to lessen the waiting time of each individual or citizen in determining if he or she is carrying or not the virus after conducting contact tracing.]
With the displayed favor, Llacuna stressed that he believes the province can appropriately run the government’s COVID-19 response strategies at their local ground, especially the efforts for testing and isolation of residents hit with the noble virus.
“We have so much trust in the capability of our local health officials and personnel, and we are relying on them to effectively implement this one,” he pronounced.
Meanwhile, Llacuna hoped that the shown effort from the province will not cease and they would progressively carry on coordination and cooperation with particular line agencies. Philippine Information Agency
