MARAWI CITY

The schools division superintendent of the city schools division of Marawi led the turn-over ceremony and assumption of office for the office of the principal of the biggest national high school in the city on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Superintendent Pharida L. Sansarona announced to the public the designation of Dr. Paramata Monte-Bantuas as the newly designated principal of Marawi City National High School (MCNHS) by virtue of a memorandum issued by Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Bangsamoro region’s education ministry which she officially read during the occasion to manifest the assumption of Bantuas as newly dessignated principal of the school.

Sansarona welcomed and congratulated Bantuas “for her well-deserved designation as School Principal” of MCNHS. She tanked Minister Iqbal for the trust and confidence.

Bantuas replaced Dr. Lominog Manoga who retired on November 2, 2020, as principal of MCNHS.

MCNHS was established in 1989 when the late Mahid M. Mutilan was the mayor of Marawi. His vice mayor the late Atty. Ombawa Madum led the city Sangguniang Panlungsod to pass a resolution for the creation of the school.

Before its establishment, Marawi City was the only city in the Philippines that did not have a national high school. This made the then city government to ask for the school.

Sansarona said she expected the teaching force and personnel of Marawi City schools division to cooperate with the newly designated principal to make the school more improved.

The occasion was graced by Bacolod Kalawi mayor Nora Lucman Dipatuan and her vice mayor Junairah D. Mabandus; Dr. Sadrodin M. Diron, ASDS for Elementary and North District Supervisor; Baesarom A. Domato, ASDS for Secondary; Dr. Sobaida D. Ampuan, ASDS for Senior High School; Atty. Dayang Akirah L. Sansarona of MBHTE regional office; Engr. Faisal Gunang, Federated PTCA president; Dr. Asliah M. Maniri, MCD administrative officer; Former APCES principal Calimato Bantuas; Dr. Naomie A. Domato who served as lady of the ceremony; faculty and staff of MCNHS and other division officials. (RSOY)
