
MARAWI CITY
The Mindanao State University (MSU) has declared Thursday, October 29, as a non-working holiday, in commemoration with Mawlidun Nabi, birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In a memorandum to all MSU constituents on Thursday, October 22, MSU System President Habib W. Macaayong declared Thursday, October 29, 2020, as non-working holiday in observance of Mawlidun Nabi, or Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1083.
Revered and followed by over a billion Muslims all over the world, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was said to be born in Mecca in Saudi Arabia on the 12th of Rabi ‘ul Awwal in the Islam’s Hijri calendar which falls on the 29th of October this year.
