ILIGAN CITY: The local government unit of Mulondo in the province of Lanao del Sur has heeded the call for “Sunday is a No Movement Day” amid the surging cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) which prompted the provincial government to place Lanao del Sur under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) effective Sept. 8.
Mayor Nihara M. Panandigan issued Memorandum Order No. 37, mandating all barangay officials, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in the municipality of Mulondo for the mandatory dissemination of the “Sunday is a No Movement Day.”
Panandigan said all persons are mandated to strictly stay at home during Sundays except Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) and those with emergencies. All establishments except hospitals and pharmacies must not operate during Sundays, she added.
Lanao del Sur provincial governor Mamintal A. Adiong Jr. issued Executive Order No. 15 placing the entire province under MECQ from September 8 to 30, 2020. The Order, among others, prohibits any person to go out every Sunday except for emergency and APOR until September 30, 2020.
The lady mayor directed the police, the military and the BPATs to ensure the strict implementation of this memorandum and related orders for the safety and welfare of the constituents. (Muslimedia.PH)
