Marawi bares new traffic routes

By Masiding Noor Yahya

Starting on Monday, September 7, 2020, the road from Amai Pakpak Hospital up to Sarimanok Shell Station is one way to give way for Flying 7 activities, city hall has announced on Monday quoting Engr. Yacob Mambuay, DPWH Project Manager II.

In a post at its official FB account, the city government of Marawi said going from Sarimanok to Awar will remain two-way traffic. “MMA Contractor will continue to use the ‘Stop-and-Go’ scheme using flagmen,” it said.

Route from AWAR through Malutlut, Lancaf and MSU will be a ONE WAY TRAFFIC flow scheme to give way to the ongoing construction of CDH.

All light vehicles coming from Marantao will turn right at TUCA (Bacolod Chico) DIVERSION ROAD except for vehicles going to MSU or Iligan via Heaven.

The city government enjoins the public follow the new routes and inform their friends and relatives that this will be implemented on September 7, 2020. (Ranao Star PH)
