MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur — The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Caraga Regional Office 13, expressed its thanks and appreciations to Lanao del Sur Provincial Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, Jr. for helping the Muslim constituents in the Caraga region who are affected by the Coronavirus 2019 disease (Covid-19).
NCMF Caraga Regional Director Monaim Guro presented two plaques to Governor Adiong, one for him and the other for the provincial government unit of Lanao del Sur.
Mrs. Sarah B. Guro read the inscription in the awards. The plaque given to the governor is for his sincere and invaluable support to the Muslim constituents in Caraga region. “Your generosity has been an instrument in making a difference especially this pandemic Covid-19,” it said.
The other plaque is awarded to the provincial government unit of Lanao del Sur in grateful recognition and sincere appreciation of its valuable support to the Muslim constituents in the Caraga region.
It can be recalled that the provincial government has been extending foods and relief assistance to Muslim constituents outside Lanao del Sur in his desire to help amidst the pandemic along the call of President Duterte to help every Filipino in order not to get hungry during this crisis.
The awarding ceremony was held on Monday, August 2, 2020, in a simple ceremony at the provincial governor’s office in the new capitol complex in the Islamic City of Marawi.
