MARAWI CITY: A Marawi internally displaced person (IDP) has started to make good his livelihood after receiving help from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Norhanna Masacal Bansao Yahya, in her Facebook account posted on Wednesday, said 46-year old Anuwar G. Bantuas was a victim of the 2017 Marawi Siege which resulted to the closure of his store.
A resident of Purok 1 Marawi Poblacion, Bantuas has 10 children and a loving wife and has a sari sari store, said Yahya who is a member of the DTI local team assisting IDPs.
With the help of DTI’s program, Bantuas was able to run his sari-sari store and instead of having P 700.00 sales per week, his sales increased to P2,000.00.
Bantuas expressed gratitude to the agency DTI to be one of the Marawi IDPs who benefitted from its assistance.
