ILIGAN CITY: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Iligan City resumed office last Wednesday, May 13, after almost two months of being closed due to the implementation of enhanced community quarantine.

Iligan LTO Chief Monadato Mangadang said their office will strictly enforce public health protocols set by the Department of Health (DOH) such as mandatory wearing of face masks, physical or social distancing, installation of hand wash area at the gate, foot bath and thermal gun scanner.

At the entrance, a client is required to fill-up form with his name, address, contact number, person to be contacted in case of emergency, office to visit and the kind of transaction he has to do inside, for contact tracing purposes.

The agency is also limiting the number of clients to be served per day as per directive from the central office.

“We are advised to cater to not more than the 50% of the normal number of clients we usually cater. Before the pandemic, we could cater 300 to 500 clients a day,” Mangadang said.
