MARAWI CITY: The municipal government of Bubong, Lanao del Sur, has successfully distributed more than six thousand relief packs or Ramadan packs to households in the thirty-six barangays of the municipality, for another round of its emergency relief operation, this period of extended community quarantine.

Mayor Usoph B. Munder led the relief operations in cooperation with Bubong Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

In observance of social distancing, each household was asked to wait of their residence where volunteers dropped the relief packs which are a variant of the usual relief goods earlier distributed.

Mayor Munder cites the need to give residents a variation in relief operations especially during the observation of the holy month of Ramadan.

Residents were glad to receive the relief assistance and expressed their gratitude to the mayor who they said “remains true to his promise in looking for ways in making the conditions in the municipality better in light of the General Community Quarantine.”
