ILIGAN CITY: The provincial government of Lanao del Norte has announced that five medical frontliners in the provincial hospital located in the municipality of Baloi are tested positive of the coronavirus disease.

Governor Imelda Quibranza Dimaporo said the five Covid positive were among the 44 medical frontliners working in the provincial hospital who submitted to rapid testing kits in line with the provincial government program of requiring medical frontliners to take the rapid testing.
Dimaporo said the provincial government has prepared precautionary protocols or measures including contact tracing and disinfecting public places which ought to be observed in case a frontliner is tested Covid positive.
“The five positive were made to undergo confirmatory test with the use of polymeris chain reaction (PCR). They were brought to our isolation facility which is the old Kapatagan provincial hospital for observation to be given proper care,” said Dimaporo.
The provincial government has closed the Baloi provincial hospital and quarantined all frontliners, she added.
Dimaporo appealed to her constituents to trust the provincial government in doing these measures for it is doing its best to ensure their safety from this disease.
She said the provincial government is prepared in dealing this situation.
Dimaporo appealed to the citizenry not just to believe information posted in facebook which are not authorized to disseminate information regarding this disease.
