‘Bayanihan Act’ in full effect in Bacolod Kalawi

MARAWI CITY: Following the President’s declaration of the Bayanihan Act or the Heal As One Act, the Municipality of Bacolod-Kalawi has been actively undertaking strict measures as a response to the possible spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the locality.

Bacolod-Kalawi has been swift in undertaking initiatives to fight the spread of the coronavirus including information campaign, consultation dialogues with the local residents, installation of sanitary kiosks, close monitoring of border entries and continuous distribution of relief goods, among others.

Mayor Nora Lucman Dipatuan announced that additional relief goods will be distributed weekly for one month, beginning 22 April to 22 May. “We have been working round the clock for this new batch of relief distribution which is very much needed by my constituents, with the holy month of Ramadhan approaching,” added the lady mayor.

Dipatuan expressed optimism that with the continued show of cooperation of the local residents, the municipality would be able to spare itself from the virus infection.
