Mayor Sumagayan continues relief operations in Taraka

TARAKA, Lanao del Sur: As the provincial goverrnment of Lanao del Sur extends the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the province until April 30 amid the coronavirus disease, the municipal government of Taraka continues its relief operations to assist affected families.

Mayor Nashiba G. Sumagayan is closely supervising the operations to see to it that all affected families by the ECQ in her municipality are provided with relief asistance, according to a social media statement.

“While strictly observing the protocols of proper social distancing and wearing of face masks, another set of procured goods were repacked on Wednesday by the LGU skeletal workforce for another round of LGU-Taraka Relief Assistance which shall be conducted in support also to the series of relief operations done by its barangay chairmen,” it said.

Indeed, the joint efforts of the LGU, the Barangay Local Government Units (BLGU), the Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) only justify their commitment to beat the dreaded virus and provide aid to the constituents of Taraka in this time of need.

Sumagayan reminds her constituents to strictly observe the advisory provided by IATF-Taraka and to patiently remain inside their homes while the LGU operates. (RSP)
