NGCP Advisory: Emergency shutdown incident in Marawi

An emergency shutdown incident happened at Agus 1 hydropower in Marawi City on Tuesday at 7:00 AM, according to an advisory from the National Grade Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

Engr. Abet Noor of NGCP said the emergency shutdown of secondary breaker was due to huge fire seen at 5CT05 (7XF01MRW) at Phase B and C.

Noor said they conducted investigation and found out that the link (conductor) between the CT phase C and 5DS03 (7XF01MRW) was removed from the DS side.

All Lasureco franchise and MSU University were affected by the shutdown. IACC advised to conduct testing of the CT’s.
