MARAWI CITY: The provincial local government unit (PLGU) of Lanao del Sur has readied a quarantine facility here in case the number of CoViD-19 patients and PUIs increase in the province in the coming weeks or months even as it has extended on Friday the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) imposed in the province until April 30.
Provincial Governor Mamintal A. Adiong, Jr. has ordered the conversion of forty-six units of the Provincial Employees Village at Badak area here into a temporary quarantine facility complete with water and electricity, according to the provincial information office (PIO).
The PIO said the compound has been installed with proper fencing and gates, and a sanitation tent at its entrance.
Preparation of the facility took more than two weeks which was supervised by Engr. Nasser Tabao under the instruction of Adiong.
The center shall be operated by the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Lanao del Sur and the Amai Pakpak Medical Center with supervision of the Provincial Government.
Equipment, facilities and furnishing have been provided by the provincial government, IPHO, and the Makati Medical Foundation through the City Health Office, while the water tank was supplied by the Pepsi Cola Company through the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.
