MARAWI CITY: The provincial government of Lanao del Sur and the Islamic City of Marawi have extended the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) within the province and the city until midnight of 30th April 2020.
A joint Memorandum Circular signed by Provincial Governor Mamintal A. Adiong, Jr. and City Mayor Majul U. Gandamra said the extension was decided upon the recommendation of Lanao del Sur Inter-Agency Task Force (LDS-IATF) for the Management of Covid-19.
The memorandum circular was signed on Thursday but released on Friday.
It said, “All residents are directed to comply with, and concerned agencies to implement, the guidelines provided in Joint Executive order No. 002, series of 2020, including its addendum under Joint Executive order No. 003, series of 2020, and all other relevant issuances during the period of extension.”
The joint memorandum circular also amended Executive order No. 10, series of 2020, which set the curfew hours in the province at 6:00 PM -6:00 AM in so far as the curfew hours for the City of Marawi is concerned, which shall be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM effective immediately.
It also strictly required all residents “to wear face masks, earloop masks, indigenous, reusable or do-it-yourself masks, face shields, handkerchiefs or such other protective equipment that can effectively lessen the transmission of Covid-19, whenever allowed to go out of their residences.”
“The LDS-IATF may modify the existing guidelines without need of further approval of our offices,” the joint memorandum circular said.
