Residents of the municipality of Bubong in Lanao del Sur have been fully cooperative and supportive to the policies and measures undertaken by the government in preventing the local transmission of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).”
This is what Bubong town mayor Usoph Munder told Ranao Star in a statement recently.
Mayor Usoph Munder said they saw no one on the streets and all establishments were closed when they patrolled in the new curfew hours from 6pm to 6am imposed by the Local Government Unit of Bubong and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) against COVID-19.

Munder also believed residents have been following instructions from the government on the prevention of the pandemic coronavirus spread and transmission locally.
He believed if this kind of cooperation from the residents continues, “We can prevent the spread of the COVID-19 (in our locality.) Salamat mga kababayan!”
Mayor Usoph Munder is the first person in the municipality to undergo, and who has completed a 15-day voluntary home quarantine as part of the preventive measures the municipality is undertaking against COVID-19.

Earlier, the town’s IATF COVID-19 has intensified thermal scanning among persons entering Bubong which is still going on as of posting in all entry points to the town.

Regular consultations among local constituents are continuously done including the emergency meeting on March 23, 2020, by the Bubong LGU (above) and the Basingan BLGU (below). FB

Meanwhile, 140 households in Barangay Basingan received relief goods last March 22, 2020 with cooperation of the barangay local government unit headed by Punong barangay Alim Alex M. Cota.
