MARAWI CITY: There are 157 Persons Under Investigation (PUI) and 5,112 Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the regional government’s Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Monday.
BARMM’s Health Minister Dr. Saffrullah Dipatuan said in a press conference on Monday, “Maguindanao province has 20 PUI and 1,331 PUM; Lanao del Sur and Marawi City with 27 PUI and 1,489 PUM; Basilan and Lamitan City with 34 PUI and 985 PUM; Tawi-Tawi with 9 PUI and 584 PUM; and Sulu with 40 PUI and 630 PUM.”
Dipatuan said his ministry has also recorded two confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region, including a patient from Amai Pakpak Hospital in Marawi City and in Northern Mindanao Medical Center, in Cagayan de Oro City.
The Healh Minister also said five deaths are recorded which were all from Lanao del Sur. One who died in Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro, two in Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City, and one in a Rural Health Facility in Binidayan town in Lanao del Sur.
