The Mindanao State university (MSU) in the Islamic city of Marawi has suspended all alternative and distance learning activities in the university which were allowed earlier before the country was placed under a state of calamity by President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a memorandum issued on Thursday, Dr. Habib W. Macaayong, MSU president, said:
“In view of the enhanced Community Quarantine in the entire country pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 929 s. 2020, declaring the Philippines under a State of Calamity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with utmost consideration of the welfare of all the students, faculty members and staff of this university, all alternative learning activities including on-line classes and other forms of distance learning/teaching undertakings are hereby suspended.”
Macaayong said all previous issuances inconsistent with this memorandum are revoked.
