Grand Kanduri for Peace

MILF-BIAFF J-3 Operation’s Darul Fawzon Community Base of MILF-BIAFF holds thanksgiving for the realization of the Bangsamoro Government.

MARANTAO, Lanao del Sur: The Darul Fawzon Community Base under the J-3 Operation Department of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (BIFF-MILF) tendered a thanksgiving on Saturday held at Lumbac Inudaran, this municipality.

Dubbed as Grand Kanduri for Peace with a theme, “Struggle is our Journey, Peace is our Destiny and Sustainable Development is the Aspiration of our Community,” it was held as a thanksgiving and blessing for the MILF achievement with the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and abolishing Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

In his opening remark, Muhammad “Abu Salman” R. Bunsa, brigade commander of J-3 Operation Department, said the occasion represented the more than 100 years of our struggle against colonialism, especially in the last 40 years of the Bangsamoro Struggle for self-determination and freedom.

He said the realization of peace through the establishment of the Bangsamoro government is made possible through the sacrifices and struggle of all. He made mention of the religious sector (Ulama) who were at the forefront at the height of the struggle.

Bunsa acknowledged the presence of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) which has been an indispensable partner in the negotiation between the government and the MILF, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, officials from Camp Darapanan, Ranao Star media and officers of MILF local groups.

He also welcomed Marantao LGU represented by the municipal vice mayor, Unypad director Ansary Diamaoden, CBCS coordinator Johary Ayo, the religious sector and stakeholders.

This kind of thanksgiving is being conducted by all community bases in the region. (RSP)
