DATELINE MARAWI — Lanao del Sur District 2 Congressman Mauyag B. Papandayan, Jr. revealed his priority programs that will improve the living condition of his constituents in the second district of the province.
Answering a query from The New Ranao Star, the congressman said he will prioritize in providing tap water, hospital, electricity and peace and order.
As in most towns of Lanao del Sur, towns in the second district especially in Marogong where the congressman had been a municipal mayor and in nearby coastal towns, have yet to see a tap water running in their homes.
There is even no irrigation for their upland palay, corns and other crops and plants.
There is no hospital with complete facilities in the second district. Papandayan lamented that the sick has to be brought to Marawi or Cotabato.
As for electricity, Papandayan said Lasureco has promised that by the end of this month, Tubaran is lighted, and will Malabang at the end of the year.
Papandayan wished his services could be tapped by the government in dealing with the armed groups in Butig.
