Following a simple turn-over ceremony at the capitol complex quadrangle on October 21, Adiong told the media that the solar-powered vaccine refrigerators assistance was an affirmation of their partnership with the USAID, Mindanao Health and the Department of Health (DOH) in providing quality services to the people of the province.
“I am aware of the importance of this valuable equipment, that is, to ensure that our people especially our children are given safe and quality health services,” he stressed.
“I knew that you need to preserve the vaccines but with the frequent brownouts and blackouts in many areas of this province, those valuable vaccines cannot be stored properly,” he added.
Adiong said the assistance is very timely as the province is looking for solutions or alternatives to sustain power supply.
Recipients of the refrigerators are IPHO, Dr. Serapio Montaner Memorial Hospital, Unayan District Hospital, Tamparan District Hospital, and the Rural Health Units of Taraka, Balindong, Balabagan, Madalum, Lumbac Unayan, Maguing, Butig, Bubong, Marantao, Tagoloan and Poona Bayabao.
